Kate is an Executive Director in the Client Solutions Group in Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). She leads MAM’s capital raising initiatives in the real estate sector across the Asia Pacific region, responsible for raising capital for real estate funds and assets across the region, both developing new products in the region and ensuring Asia Pacific investors access MAM’s global real estate investment opportunities.
Kate brings to the MySAS board the perspective of institutional investors and with her involvement – together with our housing partners, government and other market players – helps raise awareness and understanding of SDA as an asset class.
With over 18 years’ experience in capital markets, Kate has raised over ~A$25 billion of capital over her career. She has previously advised clients on access to private capital in the infrastructure and renewables sector in Macquarie Capital.
Prior to focusing on private capital, Kate was in Macquarie’s Equity Capital Markets (ECM) business raising capital for listed companies across a broad range of sectors including financial institutions, technology, media, retail and infrastructure. Kate’s ECM experience includes time focussed on investor distribution in Macquarie’s ECM syndication business.
Her earlier career was focused on hybrid capital, capital management and bank regulatory capital. Prior to joining Macquarie, Kate spent 5 years with Commonwealth Bank.
